Exotic equity funds pay top returns

Exotic equity markets were the best place for Irish investors to be in the first six months of 2005. They delivered highly impressive double-digit gains for those with an appetite for higher risk.

The latest returns for Irish unit linked funds, gathered by Standard & Poors Fund Services, show higher risk equity funds filling seven of the top ten positions. The best performing fund was the Quinn Biotech Freeway fund, which grew by 22.58% in the six months to June 30.
